Food Contaminant Testing

Heavy Metal Test

Heavy metals refer to the heavy metals and their respective compounds arising from external contamination, and are absorbed and accumulated in food. Arsenic (As), cadmium (Cd), lead (Pb) and mercury (Hg) are heavy metals with relatively high toxicity to human beings. For instance, As compounds from natural and industrial sources may accumulate in agricultural soils and plants; Cd and Pb are found in foods naturally and due to pollution; Hg is found in seafood due to release from fossil fuels and burning industrial waste. With the fact that most of the heavy metals persist in the atmosphere and soil, all kinds of food have the chance of being contaminated by heavy metals. The determination of heavy metal is thus an important aspect in food safety. We offer heavy metal test in this regard.
